Timestamp for secure documents

Timestamps are indispensable in many legal transactions related to the electronic signature and are an important mechanism for the long-term preservation of digital signatures.

The Sign Live! CC time stamp server offers the creation of qualified and / or advanced time stamps via a standard-compliant interface (PAof LTV) according to international standards. Communication with the Sign Live! CC timestamp server is done using the timestamp protocol (RFC 3161) and the created time stamps can be processed and validated by also compliant applications.

A trustworthy digital timestamp is an electronic certificate that states that an electronic document (only the hash value) was available to the issuer of the timestamp at the specified time. Since time stamps are not personal, they are easier to use than electronic signatures.

With time stamps, proof of integrity is provided in a legally secure, permanent and cost-effective manner.

Guaranteed timing accuracy

For an accurate time indication, the time is dedicated and trustworthy NTP Server (Meinberg) used.

Hardware security for cryptographic keys

For the generation and management of keys on certified HSMs (SafeNet, Utimaco, Thales), large key lengths (up to 4096 bits) and strong hash algorithms are supported.

How do you use a timestamp service?

A time stamp service can only be used with a suitable application that sends a request to a time server via the time stamp protocol (RFC 3161) and can receive his answer.

Where can timestamps be used?

Time stamps can be used as part of workflow and archiving solutions. Wherever solutions for implementing compliance regulations such as SOX, Basel II or industry-specific quality requirements require confirmed times, time stamps can be used.
