Signing the individual files and verifying signatures by the user is not practical, especially when processing mass data or in large organizations for reasons of performance or security. In such cases it is advisable to use a central signature server. This can be easily integrated into existing network infrastructures, including the connection to an internal or external one PKI is possible. The signature server provides a secure environment for creating and verifying signatures for documents and transactions.

It allows the use of different cryptographic methods and key lengths and can be flexibly adapted to increasing security requirements (through the use of new methods and / or larger key lengths).

The signature server Sign Live! CC generates qualified and advanced electronic signatures, seals and time stamps and supports the common standard formats such as CAof (PKCS# 7 format), PAof, (PDF-Signature with receipt of the PDF/ A conformity), XAof (XML-DSig and eANV-XML-Signature according to BMU-Specification). The traceability and long-term verifiability of signatures can optionally be implemented in the standard of the Long-term validation (LTV) respectively. Depending on the process-specific requirements, the right format is always available.

INTEGRATION OPTIONS

For integration into existing document-generating and document-keeping systems, such as DMS and ERPSystems or the connection to archive systems are available extensive standard interfaces and integration options. Depending on requirements, the connection can be made via directory monitoring, via command line calls, via programming interfaces (API) like web services, XMLRPC, SOAP, ActiveX, HTTP, etc. or via process integration using Java or JavaScript. Use in Unix-based or virtualized system environments is possible without any problems.

SCALABLE SOLUTION

Basically, depending on the number of signature processes and the required degree of automation in production, there are different solution scenarios for individual, batch and bulk signature processes. For the central automated signature creation of large amounts of documents, Sign Live! CC Signature server with several card readers (card rack), one HSM or in combination with different signature systems and with a connection to the Swisscom signature service (AIS) can be used.

Remote signature server

The remote signature server provides a "remote signature service" in an in-house solution. The remote signature server makes sense when several users in a company have to sign documents, but only one certificate (seal) is available. The hash of the document is calculated on the client and sent to the signature server. The hash of the document is created using the remote signature server (e.g. HSM, All-in Signing Service, etc.) are digitally signed and the result is returned to the client. The client inserts the digital signature into the original document. The result is a digitally signed document. Important: Only the hash of the document is sent to the remote signature server, not the entire document.
