eID and Trust Services in Practice
About the myth that the use of electronic trust services is far too complicated.
Even 9 and 6 years after the eIDAS Regulation and the Trust Services Act came into force, the term trust services is nowhere to be found in the E-Government Act or in the draft law amending the Online Access Act (OZG). And if the term signature is used in the OZG, it is only in the context that it is not required in the relevant portals due to the eID.
But why is this so? Are trust services such as seals, signatures, time stamps, verification and preservation services really so complicated in practice that one has to look for other options?
Or do you just have to look for the right trust service from the right provider in the right form?
