At the MEDICA in Düsseldorf (November 16-19.11, hall 15, booth C16) present the software manufacturer intarsys consulting GmbH and the IT-Service provider scan factory KG a new solution that enables electronic archiving of documents according to the BSI-Directive "TR-03138 Replacement scanning (RESISCAN) “Makes it much easier and more convenient. The product component Sign Live! CC scan support from intarsys, with which digitized documents such as patient files can be qualified signed, generated in connection with the scan software "nexus | touch ”of the scan factory a structured scanning process that reduces the process documentation recommended in the guideline to a minimum.

A proper process and ongoing process documentation certified by third parties are particularly important for replacement scanning in order to maintain the legal security of the documents after digitization. "With our solution, it is now possible to set up this process by connecting a scanner to the socket and have it certified with very little effort - all important safety functions are unchangeably integrated into the device and thus reduce the process documentation to a minimum," explains Jörg Steinbach, the product manager responsible for Sign Live! CC TR-RESISCAN at intarsys.

All performance classes of the established manufacturer Kodak alaris are available to users as scanners. "The devices are operated via an individually adaptable touch surface," explains Christian Deilmann from the Scanfabrik. "This way, operating errors can be reduced to a minimum." All documents are stored in the recognized archive format PDF/ A-3 created. Integrity protection is ensured - depending on the desired level of security - advanced or qualified time stamps or signatures.

TR-RESISCAN was approved by the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) and is considered to be the future standard for substitute scanning - not only for administration and justice, but also for health care and the insurance industry. The technical guideline itself does not create any regulations, but defines a generally applicable process framework, on the basis of which the respective institution itself determines the security profile for the scanned documents and derives the associated measures with regard to the desired protection of integrity.
